Approximately once a month folk from Freshwaters, and often a few others, join for an enjoyable country walk, sometimes including a pub or cafe lunch and sometimes a picnic.

During School Holidays the walk is specifically designed for the whole family to enjoy.

Park 10.30 am Fishers Green Car Park (see arrow:,203270&st=4&ar=y&mapp=map.srf&searchp=ids.srf&dn=694&ax=537817&ay=203270&lm=0). From Harlow it's the first turn on right into Fishers Green - also signed Hayes Hill Farm. Note, parking charges now apply. (It's the car park with toilets - if no loos, you're in wrong place :-().

Walk along tarmac path to the Lee Valley White Water Centre ( - was the Olympics venue 2012) for lunch in cafe or bring picnic. Easy walking, suitable for bikes and buggies. 2.5 miles each way. Optionally, return via the canal towpath.

Saturday 22nd April

We enjoyed a seven mile walk starting at St Thomas' church car park, Perry Green PC . Lunch was at the Bull Much Hadham.  The walk proceeded through the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside taking in Mill Wood and its enchanting bluebells.  Richard, our entrpeid guide, led the way.  Click on his image to view our gallery for the walk.
