Serving Netteswell

In April 2012 we started meeting in the Netteswell ward believing that we have been called to serve the residents of this area.  Following a community survey carried out in the summer of that year we have started the following initiatives.

Netteswell Neighbour

A community magazine for the Netteswell ward produced three to four times a year and distributed to a growing number of homes in the area.  For more information click here.

Rainbow Club

On most Mondays from 1.30pm to 3.30pm a valiant team of volunteers organises ‘The Rainbow Club’ a chance for elderly folk to get together, enjoy developing friendships, play some games and enjoy light refreshments.

The group meets at St Michael’s Close common room.  The group is run in partnership with Rainbow Services.

Community Meal

In 2015 & 2016 we held a Community Meal at the Leah Manning Centre as part of the Heart 4 Harlow Festival, where we provided free food for those who wanted to join us and a film for the children. It was a great opportunity for folk who have a connection with Netteswell to meet and socialise over a shared meal.

The fantastic news is that we are to repeat the Community Meal this year on the 21st May at the Leah Manning Centre, from 12-2pm. If you click on the flyer details below or here you'll be taken to our Facebook Event for the Commmunity Lunch and you can click to say you're coming. If you have any fond or interesting stories that you would like to share at the Community Lunch about Harlow over its 70 years please do let us know. We look forward to seeing you!
